His wife Indrani could not see him worried and and prayed to the almighty to help her husband. Indrani (Shashikala) was religious lady,So she prepare a talisman with her divine power and tied talisman around indra's right wrist and she believed her talisman will safeguard Indra from the attack of the Asur. She proved it. Unfortunately Asur won the battle and indra escaped unheart. After this the talisman was called “Raksha Suthra” and the ceremony of tying was called of Raksha Bandhan
